Baan Kashiwaya

Very cute little ryokan in the heart of Bangkok. I got to Bangkok a night earlier than planned. Decided to stay here one night before checking into an Airbnb nearby. Best part is the little sento they have in-house! Totally helped me relax from travel aches and sleep good that night. 😊😊😊

The interior is completely traditional Japanese, which makes it an adventure to stay here at least a night.

Location was great (may be a bit seedy for some though). Definitely has the japanese bnb feel to it, though more in line with japanese inns in a small town. Hot water bath is awesome - too bad it is only up for a limited set of time. The soap provided was also awesome.

Staff are very friendly.

I love the quaint charm of Japan this hotel has. The staff were very polite and considerate in accommodating to my requests. This is not a large hotel chain so expectations were managed. The hotel lobby has nuggets of Japan culture (manga, japanese inspired furniture)
